A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO STAYNTECH®
BrickImaging’s Stayntech® process serves as a platform for transforming the color of existing brick, block and stone while maintaining the surfaces natural aesthetic appeal and integrity. Update brick color instead of costly brick replacement. It is a great alternative to brick painting and we offer a wide variety of looks and feel. Unlimited color options, varying opacities, and numerous application techniques allow for a complete color change that appears as though the brick was installed that way from the buildings construction.
Costly replacement and painting are no longer the only options for masonry color change. While painting masonry certainly changes its color, many compromises in terms of structural integrity, aesthetic appeal and durability are made. Painting creates an in-penetrable membrane for moisture to escape masonry’s porous surfaces which leads to the paint blistering and peeling from the surface. Maintaining a breathable substrate is vital in order to allow any trapped moisture within the substrate to escape without damaging the structure.
A COLOR CHANGE THAT IS DURABLE AND DISTINCTIVE
For over 40 years, technicians at BrickImaging have achieved an optimal balance for changing a bricks color without compromising its function. Light brick can be stained dark and dark brick can be stained light. By custom-formulating each projects material, a balance between the desired aesthetic change and durability can be achieved.
Options within Stayntech® include uniform semi-transparent sprays, multi-colored applications, mortar color changes utilizing our Mortar Mask™ application and aggregate replication. As a part BrickImaging’s commitment to durability, every surface that is colored also receives a top-coat matte finish sealer to help ensure a long-lasting beautiful finish. Stayntech treated surfaces carry a 15-Year limited warranty protecting against any chipping, peeling or fading of the material.
BrickImaging’s Stayntech® materials are eco-friendly. As a part of our commitment to conserving the environment, the majority of prepping materials are also recyclable.
